Protein-Packed Wildberry Smoothie

This recipe packs in plenty of protein, potassium, & Vitamin C, so this is a great go-to recipe if you are in a hurry to begin your day in the morning.

Also, while it may seem that this recipe has a lot of sugar, the majority of this sugar is naturally present in the fruits. The high concentration of vitamins and protective  phytochemicals found in fruits are highly beneficial, and so this is not a naughty treat.

Tip: You could cut down the sugar a bit more by switching to a plain flavored Greek yogurt, if you desire.

  • 1 cup Greek vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup strawberries, halved (rinsed, stems removed)
  • 1/2 cup blueberries (rinsed)
  • 1/4 cup raspberries  (rinsed)
  • 1 tsp. ground flax seed
  • 4-5 ice cubes

  1. Measure out all ingredients and place into a blender, Nutribullet, or other blending device. (Any order is fine).
  2. Pulse ingredients in the blender, taking care to evenly mix the yogurt and the berries until you achieve an even coloring throughout the smoothie.
  3. Pour the smoothie into a glass, and enjoy! You can garnish the smoothie by cutting the top off of a strawberry and wedging it between the rim of the glass.
